Our Story

Ten years ago, Bahlam’s principals acquired and transformed a third-generation company in Central America. The business was severely under-managed and under-capitalized. We learned that even with collateral, access to investment capital remained a significant growth barrier to mid-sized companies in the region.

We also witnessed first-hand the lasting effect that a well-run business can have on people and society. In addition to growing the business substantially, we tripled the workforce to over 90 full-time employees and increased average employee pay by over 60%. 

Throughout this process, we developed proprietary tools and built a capable team with the skills required to thrive in the region. This has become the blue print for Bahlam’s model – one that we can replicate with other businesses in Central America.
