Our Story

In 2016, Bahlam’s principals acquired and transformed a third-generation company in Central America. The business was under-managed and under-capitalized. We quickly learned that even with collateral, access to investment capital remained a major barrier to growth for mid-sized companies.

We also saw firsthand the profound impact that a well-run business can have on people and society. In addition to growing the business substantially, we tripled the workforce to 90+ full-time employees and increased average employee pay by over 60%.

Through this experience, we developed a successful framework and built a capable team with the skills required to thrive in the region. This has become the blueprint for Bahlam’s model – one we aim to replicate with other businesses across Central America.
