Background

In 2016, Bahlam’s principals acquired and transformed a third-generation company in Central America. The business was under-managed and under-capitalized. We quickly learned that even with collateral, access to investment capital remained a major barrier to growth for mid-sized companies.

We also saw firsthand the profound impact that a well-run business can have on people and society. In addition to growing the business substantially, we tripled the workforce to over 100 full-time employees and increased average employee pay by over 60%.

Through this experience, we developed a successful framework and built a skilled team capable of thriving in the region. This approach has become the blueprint for Bahlam’s model.
